Bishop Visit

Bishop JOHN will be here next month to lead the Pre- Lenten retreat on February 11th. The day begins with Liturgy at 9:00 and includes two sessions with the bishop, morning coffee and lunch. The topic is "Discovering Myself in God and in My Neighbor". Registation forms are in the parish hall.



Order of Saint Ignatius

The annual holiday party for the Order will be January 29th at Byblos Restaurant at 3:00 pm. RSVP to Debbie Laham or Elizabeth Votruba asap - seating is limited.



Wish List

The Parish Council has put together a list of items which we could really use -- upstairs in the church. Copies of the list, including vestments, communion wine and books, can be found in the hall this morning. If you would like to help us out, we would be so grateful.


Bowl of caring
Sunday, February 5, 2012

On Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, team up with our parish's youth to help the needy in our community and around the world. Help our team in the "Souper Bowl of Caring" by bringing one dollar and a canned good with you to Liturgy. Please support this effort and help our parish become Souper Bowl Champions!

Antiochian Women (Diocese of Worcester and New England) present Pre-Lenten Retreat with featured speaker His Grace Bishop JOHN "Discovering Myself in God and in My Neighbor".

  • 1:00pm Session 2 and Q&A


Youth News

There are several important dates coming up, please make sure you have marked them on your calendars :

  • Next Sunday is Scout Sunday in the Orthodox Church, a time to recognize the work and ministry of those Orthodox Christians in the Scouting programs.
  • Summer Camp at Antiochian Village -- register on-line at http://www.antiochianvillage.org/camp.html Norwood campers typically go to the 3rd Session. There are scholarships available from the Order of Saint Ignatius, speak to Father Joseph today!
  • Diocesan YOUTH DAY is March 3rd. It will take place at the new Chancery in Westborough from 1:00- 3:00 pm, a great chance for our young people to meet Bishop JOHN.
  • The Teen SOYO Lenten Retreat is March 23-25 at the camp in Contoocook, NH. Details are coming soon.



Parish Life Conference Info

June 21, 2012 sounds like a long way off, but its not too early to plan for the Parish Life Conference, which our church is hosting. Plans are already underway and we need your help and ideas. Please see David Franciosi, Leeann Plouffe or a member of the Council.

Now is also the time to make reservations at the Cliff House in Ogunquit, Maine -- assure your spot right away (reservations open for everyone else on the 15th.)
